Once we’ve had a quick consult call to get acquainted with one another, we’ll send you an open-ended questionnaire where you can tell us about your business and its goals, as well as your design aesthetic and any examples of brands you think are done exceptionally well. This is the most important part of the process because it’s where we learn about you and what sets your business apart from the others. We encourage our clients to take their time with the questionnaire, and let it serve as an opportunity for you to get clear about what you want your customers to know about you.
After we’ve received your completed questionnaire, we’ll reserve your design period— this will always be 2 weeks unless your project requires add-ons, and request a deposit to guarantee your spot. If you are producing your own content, we’ll get you on the schedule with as much lead-out time as you need to gather it. If we’re producing your content, we’ll get started right away.
By the time your design period begins, we’ll have put together a few things for you to look over and offer feedback on. This will include a “mood board” with general design elements, a color pallet, and font choices; a template and basic layout of your website; and 2 logo design concepts to choose from. You’ll be invited to review everything we send and offer feedback.
After hearing your feedback and making the appropriate revisions, we’ll finalize and send over your logo, as well as up to 4 other marketing materials that best fit your business needs. This could include business cards, sticker designs, flyers, t-shirt designs, and more…
Simultaneously, we’ll be putting together your new website. This is the most time-consuming part of the process, and requires great communication to ensure that your site fulfills your business’s every need— including e-commerce, blogging capabilities, and content writing, as needed. Your website will be created using the Squarespace platform, which allows for easy updates after the design process is completed. Once the website is finished you’ll be invited to review and offer feedback.
Your website is live, your marketing materials are in your hands, and our time together is coming to a close. Before we sign off, you’ll be invited to participate in a 1 hour one-on-one video conference educating you on the use of Squarespace and giving you the tools to feel comfortable and confident running your website from here on out. Additionally, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase retainer hours to ensure ongoing support as needed.
